I've been the last three years. Always booked the extra night so i would get there Thursday afternoon. 2021 i went solo and had a great time. Soon as i got home booked for the following year. Five of us went and the organisers had made it even better than the previous year. About 2000 there on night one and about 10,000 overall. Sadly 2023 greed kicked in and they increased the numbers. Around 4000 on night one and about 13,000 overall. Getting a test ride was a joke. The bar was a cluster fck!!! It was that bad i packed up and left Friday afternoon. Massive waist of money. This year i believe there's 15,000 going! That will be a nightmare fir anyone wanting to book rides or even just get a pint... Save your money and book nezt years TT..... Much better event.

Almost packed! Just need to load and check things off. Mmm have a 20,000 battery but now thinking should have got another. Got a free 2hr lesson and am looking forward to hearing the Welsh choir😂 P.s oh and thank God its not going to be as hot as the last few days.

How not to lose a tent at festivals. buy some different coloured glow sticks,choose your colour coding (2 or 3 work best) and tape them to your guide ropes at the front. make sure you have enough for the whole weekend.simple things work the best

Bought a leash for a trials bike yesterday. Slightly different as it's to kill the bike engine if you come a cropper. Similar to a surf board leash that gives you freedom to fall off but not kill someone else with a stray board. Strap it to your wrist or belt and your keys to the other end. You can't lose them ever again. Except in the shower I suppose. 😅

It's a good idea IF you don't mind what you get, but you only have to really not like 1 or 2 of the meal options and you're stuffed, I'm also a little concerned that the Army are supplying soldiers more energy drinks (which are really not good for you) than anything else. I do wonder when comparing prices though if you could bulk buy from suppliers the meal pouches that you actually like. It may work out better or even if it is a little more expensive, at least you are getting what you want and not having to deal with all the stuff you don't want. I think that the real tip here is whatever travel food you buy... bulk buy it and don't worry about exp dates of dried food.

I have lost keys before but in fairness, I only lost them once

I've sewn a length of lanyard into my lesser used pocket.the sort that keys on rings can clip onto.i got mine when donating to poppy appeal.keys can't be dragged out of pocket by accident.

Loved your TT experience Saffy, I always thought I'd have gone at some point too but procrastination strikes lol. You have inspired me to make more effort while I can still ride so thanks for that. Keep doing what you do (with less disasters maybe?) and always stay safe and have fun. :>)
